I have 2 flash guns, whats hte most powerful and longest lasting batterys u can buy? Ive tried a few and dont seem to kast very long at all!!

Use rechargeables with the highest mAh rating you can get, i.e. over 2000.

Higer mAh, longer shooting, simples!

Sanyo Eneloop batteries. They are only 2000mAh but I've found they outperform others with higher ratings.

Most of the Eneloop type batteries seem to be very good, the Uniross Hybrios are also excellent performers even though only rated at 2100mAh.

Yeah the Sanyo eneloops always come highly recommended.

Personally though I use Camlink 2700Mah AA's for my speed lite and they work extremely well and hold a good charge too.

You can get them on the bay for under £10 posted including a slow charger.

I also recommend the Sanyo Eneloop batteries. I have had them for a while now and I am very happy with their performance. I used to have Energiser 2450Mah but they are no where as good as the Sanyo Eneloop batteries

I bought 2 packs. Nuff said, you get what you pay for generally, but I don't use my external flashgun that much to justify anything other than high mAh with a low price tag.

+1 for Eneloops. I don't use the flashgun too often, but they hold the charge very well and last for ages.

Yep eneloops all the way.:clap::thumbs:

I use 7Dayshop 2800mAh with there V8 charger. Got my first set about three years ago and still going strong. Mainly used in my 580s and they do take a hamering but so far, they havn't let me down.

If you want the best then do a search for the new XX Eneloops, they're rated at 2500mA.

Cheers peoples thats helped me decide alot!! Il get some ordered

+1 for Eneloops.
Bought 12 3 months back and am still Using my first lot (which came pre charged) on my Metz flash!

I use VapexTech instants in my YBN467. Last for 200-300 shots easy even when not used often, charged once I suspect I am pushing my luck rather than when exhausted.

That's the 8 pack, they don't to seem to have any 4 packs atm, there is also a 40 pack. The cases they come in are pretty good quality also.

I have several packs of the 7dayshop 2900mah batteries that have always served me well in my flashes. I also use them for kids toys and remote controls and all kinds of things. I've just ordered another 5 packs because I seem to have fewer and fewer available in the camera bag these days.

Thanks, like you I am not a high user so thought I would them a go and just ordered them!

I was quite lucky I bought about 30 for £10 duracell from amazon i think it was a few weeks back.

Sanyo Eneloops for me.

They never lose much charge whilst doing nothing in my flashgun and the recharge times (for fast series of flashes) is excellent for rechargeable batteries!
