Anyone using the first three softboxes on this page...

http://www.bessel.co.uk/acatalog/Soft_Boxes.html

Bessel are usually ok...just looking for personal recommendations...as the fast brolly open features look good...and the prices are fair...

It would let me start stop a lot quicker...and reduce storage probs...

Thanks to all who help/comment...

yep, they're good. Means about 20000% less swearing than old style octos.

Thanks guys...I have decided to sell off a few bits later this week...get rid of gear that cannot be quickly put up or down...think ill be replacing with these...

Took delivery of one of these today, quality looks and feels fine certainly as good as Lencarta anyway, not sure about comparisons to more expensive kit as i only have Lencarta kit to gauge by, anyway i will certainly be purchasing another one shortly :)

Which one did you go for as I'm considering buying a softbox from them, did it come with a carry case, and is the front defuser recessed a lot to aid feathering, like the lencarta ones?

I went for the 60X60 Softbox yes comes with a carry case and the front diffuser is recessed enough, also come with a honeycomb not sure how good this is though as i haven't had chance to test yet, i'm thinking of going for the 120x80 next, if you buy two 60x60s together you get about £6 off :)

Interesting stuff, will do some research :) Need to be able to use it with speedlites, at least until I will upgrade to Elichrom or Lencarta portable system

I've had the 120cm for quite a while now, I use it with the grid.

This was lit by it.

I own the 120 Octobox and have used the 60x60 and 120x80. They're surprisingly well made for the money and all have been used a lot with no issues. Just make sure you watch your fingers on the Octobox! It also might be worth considering a better bag to carry them in. I bought mine a while ago so they may have changed it by now, but the carry case is not great - very thin and rips easily.

Is it possible to squeeze two (SB-800 sized) speedlights onto one adapter?

Bessel also do the speedring with s fit but its only for a single flashgun. Not bad though for £30

Think I may invest in a couple and a couple of the speedboxes as im finding the pop up 60x60 softboxes arent really big enough for some of the stuff i want to do.
