This seems like good value, but the dish is only available in silver.

I was thinking to get a white dish, as the light is softer. I'd be using it (above) mainly with children (maybe a very occasional glamour shot), so would it do?

And would a regular Speedlight adapter do (for BD, and other modifiers)

I had a quick look on the Bessel website earlier, and please, correct me if I'm wrong, but once you add VAT plus delivery on an s-type adaptor and beauty dish you could buy the same white product with free diffuser plus free delivery from somewhere else who names ryhmes with Ben Carter for just a touch more?

Perhaps, but Ben's is only 40cm and these are a wholesome 46cm (albeit the wrong colour)!

Pi*r^2 = area

I wouldn't sweat the 6cm. Either that, or save up for the 70cm ;)

I think there's one for sale in the classifieds right now actually :)
