Going to Berlin for 3 days at end of July. Will obviously be checking out the major places to go and doing a walking tour, and will be checking out trip advisor for good german restaurants but would be good to know of any tips or recommendations from anyone here on where to see (outside the obvious). Will be with my kids so wont have loads of time to dedicate just to photography.

Stasi Museum is very interesting, interior has been featured in loads of Cold War films.
Its in what looks like a housing estate, slightly hard to find https://www.stasimuseum.de/en/enbesuch.htm
Zeiss Planetarium is another good place to visit, also in what was East Berlin.
Original Curry Wurst stand underneath Prenzlauer Berg S Bahn station.
Illuminated Gas Lights at night in Tiergarten make for a nice stroll too.
If you fancy a beer Lemke Brauerei and next door is the East German Motorcycle Museum.

We went in 2019 (tagged onto a work event)
A strong recommend for the telecom tower restaurant.
You skip the queue and the food was decent, the view was amazing and it revolves!
It has a strong 60's futuristic aesthetic which I really liked.

I also had a nice beer in the Ramone's cafe/museum but its a bit niche ;)

The Museum quarter has lots to see but it depends on your kids appetite for that kind of thing.

Here's a selection
