Am thinking of behind the goal next season.. have a spare 17-40 lens and thinking of getting something cheap and cheerful like the canon 50d .. 6+ frames per sec... Question.. I have the yongnuo transmitter ..will that be OK at championship games or interfere with better equipment others use?
 
Torn.. 50d crop with 6fps or 5d FF with 3fps
 
It's behind the goal Tony. The action's often over in half a second. 3fps would be way to slow IMO.

I agree.... been saying that since the day it went.. made sense on paper :( A far bigger regret was the 300.. even the wife said keep it.. but no.. was scared of it devaluing and wanting to see the money in the bank.. turns out she was right......again...
 
Why not think about picking up a 1DIII. They're fine up to 1600 ISO and shouldn't be much more than the options you are looking at.
 
Yeagh Mark i saw one in classified on here and thought about it.. But end of day am thinking full frame for the tighter spots as a few people have said i will struggle using a cropped with 17-40 in this situation.. which seems a bit strange to me but thats the advice so took it..

decided on a 5d classic as it fits the price and is full frame..
