Beginners kit - Umbrella stands

Hi,

I have a canon 430EXII, a canon 400D and one of the new RF-602 triggers. I need to get a stand and an umbrella. I was looking at the Konig stands but not sure what umbrella stand to get with it? What is the best way to connect the flash to the stand with the trigger? Is it too unstable to have the stand, umbrella adapter, trigger and then flash? Should I be connecting the flash with a pc cord and putting the flash directly onto the umbrella stand, if so what should I get for this? Any suggestions for umbrella stands?

I'm looking to learn more about flash photography and lighting in general. Would this kit be suitable and is there anything else I need?

I use one of the Konig stands and then one of the ball-head umbrella adapters from Flash in the Pan in the classifieds, on-top of this I then have my trigger and flash so yes this is fine.

The Konig stands are ok for inside use but they can be a bit too flimsy for use outside in heavy winds.

Thanks Rotherad, I am just starting out so hopefully the konig stand will do for my needs. Will check out flash in the pan
