Hi there, I have just joined this forum, I was advised to join and hopefully get a bit of advice from all you professionals.

I am looking to buy my 1st slr camera and have been looking at the canon eos 400d kit from warehouse express, Im not sure whether to buy off of a site or stick to argos, currys etc.

I am interested in macro photography and have been recommended to buy the canon 60mm macro lens.

I am also interested in a wide angle lens for panoramic shots and have been recommended to buy a sigma 10-20mm lens.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated as I said I am a beginner and really not sure what would be for the best to start me off????

The 400 is a great body that will do pretty much everything you need, the lenses you list are also very popular.

I have owned the ef-s 60 and it's very sharp and it also makes a great portrait lens.
