Here are two pics.

1. As from camera

2. Processed. Exposure, temp, wb, sharpness all played with a little. basically most of the nobs and buttons in Lightroom 3.

Maybe its the best it could be for what it is but I'm going to have a nerve and ask your kind selves to have a muck around. And maybe list out what you did to make it better, if indeed it can be made better. Cheeky-little-blighter, i know;) And of course, cc welcome, on composition and all that.

Thanks so much if you able to help. just trying to understand all this.

The processed one definitely looks more vibrant. But at the cost of blowing out some details in the red tassles and on the 3 coin things to the right. Have you tried using threshold function and setting the dark and light points to add some pop?

Thanks R.Y.K. for response and excuse my ignorance but Im not aware of any threshold function in Lightroom 3. Can you point me in the right direction?

Ah, my bad. I was referring to Photoshop. If you start from the beginning in Lightroom, is there a way for you to get that same vibrant look while pulling back some of the lost detail with the Recovery slider?

No probs at all. There is and I'll give that a go. Thanks for the advice.

Turn the luminance on the red slider down, and add a little recovery.

Not much else to do unless you want it a particular style :)

How about linking to a larger version of the picture
