Using a lencarta beauty dish with sock is it ok to leave the modelling lamp on or should it be off?

Using a lencarta beauty dish with sock is it ok to leave the modelling lamp on or should it be off?

Should be ok, as heat will build though keep an eye on the flash temp. But more Likely to have issues if you use a grid,
