I wasn't going to get one of the bean bags in the sale section, until I read they can be used on car windows and i thought, oh ye that could be very useful on holiday, so I got one.

What uses have you got out of your bag?

I use mine with either a 500mm or 300mm and I actually fit it to the lens using elastic cord, I make 3 loops in a piece of the cord and one goes on each end of the lens, which holds the bean bag in place when I move about between hides:thumbs:

 so if i find a dead cat that it could come in useful for my kitbag?

I used mine (bought from Dean on this forum) extensively at Marwell Zoo a week or so ago. It proved very useful for balancing my camera and 70-300 VR on fence posts, tops of walls etc and for leaning against the glass fronts of some enclosures.

It also comes in handy for kneeling on, or resting the camera on, for lower-lever shots. I have also used it in the car (on the window frame).

It is (very) lightweight and I normally take it everywhere hanging on the side of my camera bag.

(I have also used it once or twice whilst sitting in the car waiting to pick up my wife from the shops - it makes a great pillow)!!

Met a tog once who's beanbag had a screw tightly stiched in which screwed into the cameras screwhole for the tripod. Thought this was really useful but not found one anywhere.

The large ones come in handy as a pillow as well.........

I need to get myself some bean bags, i would probably take the light beads out and put something heavier in, like bird seed (could be useful ;))
