Seemed a very strange setup. The guy the couple had the contract with was acting almost like an agent.
 
Hi, I don't mean in a detrimental or non reputable way as they were very very reliable, but the now defunct "National Wedding Centre" worked in a similar way.

They used to recruit photographers from all over the country of which I was one of them, interview them and check their capabilities and if they were good enough issue them with weddings to photograph for them within a reasonable radius from their base during the summer months. They would also issue you with sample photo sheets of the style of images they wanted you to take

They would supply you with a stock of 120 film via the post, together with a mailing bag to send the exposed wedding film back to them and then pay for your services by fixed amount at the end of every month.

You never got to meet the B&G before or after the wedding as all administration was carried out by them from their base in Epping. The system worked very well and I only ever met them personally once during the many years that I opperated for them.
