We've got a few bay windows (made up of four sections) and at the moment they have fairly lightweight and flimsy plastic curtain tracks. I was thinking about a nice aluminium curtain pole but the designs don't allow for bay windows and only two curtains (they split up the curtains per window instead).

Is there an alternative or suitable heavy duty curtain track that can be sourced which allows for only two curtains at either end to be pulled shut across the whole bay window?

You can buy heavy duty tracks in dunelm however I found the screwfix ones to be pretty good and a lot cheaper.

Thanks, I'll have a look. Never thought of split rings - nice idea.

Yes there are but the majority of them will need the bulk of the curtains outside the fixing point ?

I think tracks will be the best option, hopefully I can find some aluminium or brass ones. Will check out Dunelm, always forget about that place! Dunelm and Screwfix are quite close to me.

I did the bay pole from Dunelm, it looks very nice but we still get occasional snags with the rings getting tangled.

Loads better than the flexible plastic it replaced though.

We used to have aluminum ones in our bay windows, we have actually gone to swish plastic ones. Don't really have an issue with them.
