battery recomendations for d40?

Anyone know of good deals and whether "nikons finest" is worth extra to the non-branded ones?I know there was a thread on this before but it was ages ago and things may be different or prices changed (probablu upward )

Non branded batteries I have used in Nikon D50 / 80 / 200 worked as well as the branded Nikon ones in every respect & are obviously not as expensive so a no brainer imho ... Paul

I also have a couple of 7dayshop ones in my oly. If you search someone on one of the oly forums did a comparison of different aftermarket batteries - taking them apart and comparing. It has def been posted on this forum as well/

I think the ones he rated best were uniross and 7 dayshop.
