Battery for old Nikon D5000

My wife has a Nikon D5000 which works perfectly but over time, a lot of time, the battery no longer holds its charge, but Nikon don't make them anymore. Does anyone have experience of a decent make that we can use as a replacement?

The D5000 uses the same EN-EL9 battery that my (even older) D40 uses. I purchased a Duracell from Amazon - see link below - which works perfectly.
