I recently bought a Fuji Finepix S602Zoom as my 1st DSLR.

i am having a nightmare with the batteries. at first i thought maybe my rechargeable batteries were not charging fully so i reverted to buying a box full of AA's.
I hardly get enough time to set myself up to take pics before they go flat. :bang:

any ideas?

Russell.

what sort of rechargables are you using?

My Fuji Finepix S9600 used to get through 4 AA batteries in about 70 shots. Less with flash or long exposures. In the cold weather they ran out very quickly too.

Wouldn't work at all with rechargeable either. I bought a battery charger for regular batteries which cut the costs a little as I could use the batteries about 4 times before needing to throw them away.

Perhaps it's a Fuji thing?

Energizer Lithiums are great batteries, not rechargeable, but last one hell of a long time

Rechargable AAs have a rating in milliamp hours, you need ones with the rating to be 2,700 or more. Check 'em out at 7dayshop. John

Use good rechargables such as Sanyo Eneloops, in a good charger.
BTW, the Fuji isn't a DSLR, it just looks a bit like one.

ooops, looks like i should have come on here earlier. i thought it was a DSLR.

maybe i need a low-budget proper DSLR ?

I want a camera that will take very good photo's of my fish in my pond.

Russell
