Batch renaming

Any idea how to rename nearly 400 photos in one go rather than one by one? I've just looked at the photos I've downloaded from yesterday and I've put 05.12.08 instead of 05.01.08 :bang::bang::bang:

Theres various renaming programs free on the net, if your using a photo editing program theres a good chance theres one attached. Pshop, irfranview and more. If your using XP then check this out ---> http://www.microsoft.com/athome/morefun/renamephotos.mspx it'll save you hunting for something you already have, it works a treat.

Thanks very much, I think my Canon software might do it then Off to have a look

if not there is a free one called Renamer.exe or if you use FastStone Image Viewer - which I strongly recommend for all sorts then it has one built in.

I've found out that Picasa does it - yay!
