Batch process - Copy settings in LR4

Hi,

I did a portrait session yesterday, couple of hundred shots, and I want to batch process some of the settings - crop size (8x6) / white balance / noise reduction / sharpness / lens profile etc.

I've tried adjusting the first shot, then highlighting the rest, hitting sychro, ticking the boxes I want, but when I click to the next shot, nothing seems to have happened.

Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong VERY much appreciated.

I'm a moron! Just realised I was changing the first one, then selecting the batch without the original selected - I will go and sit on the stool of shame - Sorry!

No need to apologize! I typed in this exact "problem" that I have been having, couldn't find out HOW to do it via tutorials and now I see that I am not the only one.

Why is it that you sit on your own trying to find the solution to a problem you are having and then decide to ask on TP, where normally there at least one person who knows the answer. Minutes after asking you discover the solution for yourself.

If I remember correctly it is better to sync/apply to all images in library view as this adds the total change, whereas if you do it in develop and have already changed anything it adds it on to the changes you have already made so you could be doubling up without realising it

I tend to use auto sync, select the batch and ajust the first one if they are all the same.

Thanks for all the comments/advice guys. I guess it comes down to finding a workflow that works and sticking to it. I seem to try something different every time lol!
