as above really

i have an action setup in CS2 called Edit

whats in there is bacially, resize, add a border and add a water mark

my question is can i now set this up or add another action/script to do say 100 pics to save me sitting going through it?

Thanks in Advance

just incorporate your action into a batch in file>automate>batch

i will have a look at that when i get home and see if i can do that

does it look as easy as it sounds?

reason as ask is i have little experience with PS and learnt this part from a tutorial a while back lol

You can also make a droplet, (a desktop icon) you just drag a folder of images to it and it will run an action on the batch. Wayne

now something more complicated i feel lol

when testing RAW last weekend (with good results) everytime i get propted for exposure plus other settings popup as everyone will get

is there anyway i can do a batch run on the RAW's also to save going through each one? or just a case of picking the RAW's and going through, putting them in a folder then running the batch editing process on that?

thanks

To be honest if you want to do a lot of batch processing of RAW then Photoshop isn't the best tool. Have a look at Lightroom.

I don't think you can write an action and then run batch on RAW files without them going into ACR for processing

i think you can batch process raw files in lightroom on import. not sure how though.

thats ok thanks for the reply

i was suppose to get a copy of lightroom but am still waiting for it

i will give this batch editing a go once i gt home and sorted and see what happens

thanks for the info everyone, appreciate it

Yup batch processing files in Lightroom is a doodle. The impending version 2,0 has lots of additional features such as dodging, shading and local colour adjustment. Plus ( HOORAY) twin monitor support.

If you have a licensed copy of ver 1.x then you can download a trial of version 2 beta.Note the libraries of version 1 and 2 are not compatible so use 2.o beta as a trial only

thats worked a dream, saves me loads of time now

thanks, really appreciate it

thats okay whitey.
also might be of interest to you you CAN process raw in photoshop (i have cs3, so don't know about cs2 etc) but have a look under File>Scripts>Image Processor. It will convert raw files without any input form the user, i dont know enough about it to know which settings it uses, and seems like you can even run actions as well.

Anyway, just thought it might be of interest to you.

Best of luck:thumbs:

ah thanks, will have a look at that over the next fe days when i get a minute to myself

thanks
