Been to the Farnes a few times over the years, any advice for Bass Rock, going to Dunbar mid July?

How good is the Sea Life Centre, do the trips to the rock seem worth it?

Having been to Bass Rock today - YES! Although we went on the Sula II rather than from the Sea Life Centre as she is cheaper, does slightly longer trips and is a lovely traditional vessel. It is only £14 so well worth it. I am off to the Isle of May on Wednesday, although on a non-standard trip, so will let you know what that us like too.
 
PS having been there today, the Isle of May is a must - much better than Skomer!
