hi all, im looking to do a cheap lighting setup to shoot inanimate still objects. not looking to do modeling or anything like that. Im getting married this year and the missus will go MAD if I spend lots of money on what she sees as a waste lol.

I have been looking on screwfix at lighting, they sell portable lamps like this one click. Would this work for a basic setup or would it give a false yellow light. I was thinking of making abit of a rig to support a couple of them to get rid of any possible shadows and some white material or a lightbox off ebay.

Im new to photography and lighting and would love some help if possible

thanks guys
Rob

I actually have one of those lights and a pair on a stand! (in the garage!)

If all the bulbs give light of the same temperature and you set the camera's white balance to that temp it shouldn't be too far out. probably !

I used two of those lights with an ebay light tent and managed decent results. You can buy them with stands from a wee bit more. They do get rather hot though.....
