North England Barrow-in-Furness

Him after losing my step-dad to cancer only last week found out in his will that he wants his ashes to be spread at his home town of barrow. I've never been but would like any suggestions of a nice place where he could conduct a nice private ceremony and abide with his wishes. Looking for something special with good views if possible. Thanks in advance, and sorry if it's a strange request. Apparently he called the Lake District 'Gods country.'

Sorry to hear about your step-dad. Roa Island is a nice place, I work around Barrow quite a bit and I love that little area. The beach at Walney Island is also good as is Sanscale Haws. If you want to venture a little further out of town Wasdale is amazing but it would be about an hours drive.
