Yes
I've measured the built in reflector (cannot be removed) from these lights and its 10cm but I cant find any barn doors that would fit them (im probably looking in the wrong place). There is no mount on the reflector so its most likely either going to be something universal, or if there is some kind of mount I can attach that then gives me access to say, bowens fitment (or whatever is the most popular/allows different modifiers).

Would anyone know of any that would fit onto this unit?

Thanks :)

Usually the sellers of this sort of kit on ebay do barn door and gel kits. Don't just look for Neewer though, they'll be sold as other brands too, though looking for 250w flashes narros a search down as it's not a popular size.

As above.
I think that this one should fit, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Barn-Door...graphy_StudioEquipment_RL&hash=item485db2e009

Be aware though that barn doors have limited value - there was a time, back when everyone was using horrible Redhead tungsten lights, that they were just about the only modifier that could be used, but those days have long gone.

You can get the same effects, but much better, by using a sheet of black card or two.

Nice one Garry!
I want to get a strip-softbox too, but I think I could just "turn the rectangle softboxes i have" into strip-softboxes by covering up the edges. I had a load of mounts delivered (long story, in another thread lol) but there's some black-board packaging that came with it. I wonder if I get my Mr.Maker kit out (you can tell I watch too much cbeebies with my little one) to make one myself.

Its all Phil's fault anyway, that bloody lighting book (light magic science) - fantastic, its a bit freaky as I now seem to stare at objects, examining light and reflections and how to manipulate them.

Thanks both, appreciate the searching you both have done :)

You couldn't light a strip softbox evenly with those lights, because they have a fixed reflector, even if they are available.
You can though mask down existing softboxes as you suggest, the best material for this is cinefoil, AKA blackwrap.
