If you look further in the bargains section u will see that these have come up before- they are never in stock and someone has even phoned Argos to complain that it is misleading.
 
Argos pull off this sort of thing all the time, for a company of there size and reputation its a disgrace but what can be done. Is there not some kind of ruling that they would have to have at least sold some at that price prior to putting up this out of stock BS.
I once contacted them re. a Canon 60mm macro lens at a ridiculously low price, they just kept saying it wasn't in stock. Guess what price it was when it did get into stock ? Yep back up to full (and I mean dearer than most places) price.

I'm covered on these focal lengths anyway but maybe we've saved others some frustration and wasted time.

A few months ago I picked up a Canon 135mm f/2 L from Argos, for a stupidly cheap price. I'm sure they do stock these bargains - but not very many of them.
 
They only need to have one item in stock. They do it so when you are on their website you may look and buy something else, thats called marketing.

They do it with lots of stuff, I tried to find a vacuum cleaner that was advertised as collection only at half the price of anywhere else, none local and for the saving I was prepared to have a day out somewhere if I found one within travelling distance, not one was at any store within a 100 miles!
