Came across this guy's blog http://blog.hugsformonsters.com/ while I was searching for some design inspiration (and believe me I need inspiration - and a good artist, but that's another story)

I hope some may find hisideas useful even if they might not all be practical with our jobsworth idiots in this country.

His hierarchy list is spot-on although he seems to have "missed out" the obnoxious PR/management layer

I see your from inverclyde, i take it you shoot gigs in glasgow mainly?

The Pr's/managers i have spoken to, have been pretty good to me. The higher the bands status the more credentials you need to get a photopass etc. But generally when ive spoken to managers, they have been helpful. So i wouldnt go as far to say they are obnoxious.

Good article Grock (but a few swearies in there ;))

Haven't done any gig shots since I moved up here - no real interest anymore. Give me landscapes and animals anyday. It's good to know that the PR's have a better attitude up here as there is no way in this world that I would ever consider paying a "shooting fee" to get some shots of a bunch of unknowns who may or may not make it reasonably big andwho will also have unlimited free usage of any photos I take of them.

Or.... paying to take photos of them:eek:

Dean:)
