Bald Eagle Missing - Perthshire

Hopefully he will be found soon and if people in the areas he may be could put out a dead rabbit or some other food he may find then he stands a chance of being spotted and taken back to the sanctuary

Fingers crossed.

There's White Tailed Sea Eagles in the area at the moment which the guy said (being of similar size) could be mistaken for him although he would expect Pilgrim to be perched up somewhere as he isn't used to long periods 'on the wing'.

what a shame ,I do hope they get him back.It would be a shame if anything happened to him

Hope he is not wearing jesses on his legs or there is a danger they'll snag in a tree etc.

first things first, why didnt it have telematry on, thats what needs to be asked, but im at glenfarg tomorow and have been all week with my own birds sitting out at land fill, so will have to keep an eye out just incase its that way and hunger takes over.

Binn farm by any chance ?

I live in Abernethy - just the other side of the hill.

ahhh ok, i dont know the area all that well tbh as im from forfar myself and have only lived in scotland since july but im sure i recognise the name, but yeah its 1 of our land fill sites we do pest control on that i have the pleasure of covering this week.

I was in Forfar today picking up a work colleague on the way up to Aberdeen.

Binn farm is a bit 'controversial' around these parts at the moment but I guess these sites are aways going to be.

Nice to hear you've got work for your birds though.

That's good news. perhaps a electronic location tag may be beneficial.

That's a great outcome. I thought the odds were stacked against that happening.

yeah i think land fill sites are going to be fazed out due to the publics dislike, we have 2 sites in aberdeenshire aswell at banchory and also all the way up at petehead.

glad to see the birds back safe though,

Super news, get the b****r tagged and do keep us updated on this magnificent bird
