Hi there,

I'm currently searching for a camera bag to hold all of my stuff (this will include a laptop almost all of the time), the current list is:

Nikon D200 (Gripped)
Nikon 18-70mm
Nikon 55-200mm VR
IBM Thinkpad X31 (12.1")

I am looking at purchasing 1-2 more lenses in the next year, so the bag I choose will need to have extra capacity.

The best solution I have found so far is the Tamrac Adventure Messenger 5; but I'd still like to ask around here if anyone has any better ideas.

Look at the Think Tank, Urban Disguise series. I think you may need a model 30 or more likely a 50

Have a look at the Lowepro Fastpack 250/350.

I've got the 350 , it fits a 17" latop in a hidden compartment with room for a 30D+grip / 70-200 / 17-55 / 24-70 / 2xtc in the camera area + loads of room in the upper "rucksac" area

Tamrac expedition 7x, just got it and it will hold the laptop as well, roomty and well padded with loads o` room for your gear.

MarkEvan: Thanks for the 7x reccomendation, though it looks huge - too much for my needs I think. The 5x looks nice though, and is around the right size and still fits a laptop - it's also a very nice price.

At the moment its a toss-up between the Expedition 5x and the Adventure Messenger 5... any specific opinions on these two bags anybody?

:agree: I bought a Fastpack 250 yesterday, I'm really impressed with the amount of stuff it can swallow. The 350 might be better for your needs since it's a little bigger. Top bags.

I have the Fastpack 250. IMHO the 350 would swallow your 12" lappy and it would slip around too much.

Just bought the Tamrac Adventure Messenger 5, but thanks for all of the helpful comments :)
