After watching the lightenupandshoot v book I was on the look out for a tripod bag for my stands and brollies.

In Sports Direct at the moment (at least in my local one) they've got slazenger hockey stick bags reduced. I picked mine up for £6!

It takes 2 stands, 3 brollies and some ankle weights for the stands, with room for a few more bits. Bargain.:D

I'll try and have a peep at them this afternoon when I'm in town

guh..... anyone know a bag the right size for 2 manfrotto nano stands with brolly adapters, and a doublefold umbrella, and that's it? want just a small shoulder sling bag about 60cm long really, can't find anything perfect anywhere :(

I don't know about fitting 2 stands in, but one Nano, a PW, a doublefold westcott and a flash will fit in a Manfrotto monopod bag.

hmm, is that with the pw and flash on top of the stand? really want a bag that is only the length of the stand+adapter :/

No, the bag is just slightly longer than the stand, it takes the stand + an 026 as long as the adapter is bent over a bit, if you see what I mean...

I may look a bit of a ****, but I use a golf bag. Fits 4 stands, brollies, softie and all my speedlights etc. On location I stick it on my electric trolly and tootle up the imaginary fairway. :D

What Stands are you using?

Konig cheap ones.

I also have a FITP brollybox, a convertible 42/43" brolly and a 33" shoot thru. And pretty soon I'll have a Westcott Apollo 28" which will also go in the case.

Just as a side note... I have had two sports bags which I used for all my lighting gear and they both gave way at the seams.. One was a cricket bag and the other a hockey one. You would think they were designed to carry a lot of weight but I am left un-convinced.

if you want to carry alot of weight, Kitesurf bag, lots of room, wheels, padded, etc.. need to pad lights out a bit to get them in bu works fine, it carried 40KGs of kitesurfing to morroco few months ago :).

Hockey bag is perfect if you're on foot.. if you're trying to carry a bag over 20kg you need your head back examined :)

Thanks for this, will take a look in our local store for a hockey bag.

I haven't got any heavy gear, which was the whole reason for getting a bag like this.

If you could get 20kg of lighting gear in this bag, I'd like to see it! ;):D

I bought a tennis racket bag from jjb sports which holds my 2 koniq stands, one brolley box, one umbrella, triggers etc easily. The reason i went for the tennis racket bag is that the front/head end holds my 5-1 reflector perfectly. It really is the perfect bag.
