Bad lighting in a bar...

I recently shot a friend's band while they were playing in a bar and the lighting was HORRIBLE. It was pretty much a dive bar and...just ugh!

I hate using a flash, but I had to resort to it to get anything to come out right and then trying to fix what I hated in photoshop. I tried cranking the ISO up too and things just came out grainy.

Any advice on how to get a good photo in such bad light??

they're pretty good, tbh theres not always any atmosphere to lose in bars like that

tbh the only alternative is gear, body that handles high iso well and fast lenses to let the light in
