Looking for a bit of backup advice.
My current setup is:
All of my photos and Lightroom catelog are stored on my iMac's 1TB internal drive
My entire iMac is cloned using superduper to an external USB hard drive
Time Machine also backs up the iMac to a 2TB Time Capsule
The problem is that my entire photo library is around 700GB and taking up a lot of the iMac's internal drive so I'd like to move the photos themselves over to a networked machine, just keeping the catalog on the iMac (or even on dropbox so my MBP can access everything as well).
I have a HP Proliant Microserver with 2 x 3TB drives in it which I'm planning to copy my whole photo library over to but once I've done that, neither of the two backup solutions I have (superduper and time machine) will be of any user (as far as I'm aware, neither can backup FROM a network drive).
I'm also aware that I don't have any safeguard against anything catastrophic (like a fire) so factoring that in at the same time would be good.
Any suggestions for what options I have? I'm not really familiar any more with what the best windows backup solutions are?
