I'm in need of a camera backpack that complies with the underseat airline size of max 40x30x20cm. I found something called the Vanguard Veo Select 37 BRM which seems to be suitable, any views on this or alternative suggestions? It doesn't need to be able to carry more than one body and 1 perhaps 2 lenses and I have no need for a pad/laptop compartment or tripod carrying ability.
PS I've also found the Tenba Fulton V2 10L which seems to fit the bill too, any thoughts?

Size wise I'm not sure, but I have a Vanguard backpack, I think it's an Adaptor, and I've had one of their shoulder bags before too. They were both really well made.

I would think any backpack would fit a body and 2 lenses; I can get that in my Gomatic sling.

Thank you, I'm looking for a backpack specifically for use when walking fairly long distances, not wishing to have anything either in my hand or over only one shoulder.
I've read that vanguard bags are well made so your experience is a welcome confirmation.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or comments on the Tenba?

Considering that your requirement being a "backpack specifically for use when walking fairly long distances", probably a hiking daypack with a suitable insert would be more comfortable than a dedicated camera backpack

Perhaps, but I'd be concerned about the protection offered by a typically flexible day pack. Would you have any suggestions on suitable combinations at the more budget end of the market?
