I'm trying to get my head around shooting the not quite silhouette portrait shots a few of the wedding togs here do so well.
I know Weddinghack does it and I've seen a few on here from others too.
I know how to expose what I want, but when I do it in cam I load up the shadow areas with noise even on the D700 at ISO1600. That's fine for mono but looks awful if I want a colour version.
Are you guys exposing to the right and dragging the exposure down in PP? I've tried it today and it's not right
