background support/holders help

Im in the process of building a studio in my garage. i would just like to no what everyone does to hold up there backgrounds.

for white i think i am thinking a vinyl background what would be the best way to support this.

i am also thinking of having a black and a grey paper background. what are my options for these.

First off, I don't have a studio...yet...but I know how I'd do it, and know what I'm budgeting for too.

The system I'm planning on going for is a wall mounted rolling system. The system is a pair of brackets that support ally tubes that come with a reel, brake and chain attached. It's not cheap though. The brackets are about £55 a pair and each 3 metre tube (complete) is about £75, and then there's VAT on top. Each pair of brackets will hold up to 5 backgrounds. The idea is that the backgrounds are stored rolled up and wound down as you need them. It's the system that's fitted in the rental studio I use and it's great. I can post a link to the supplier if it's allowed.

You may have seen a similar system on warehouse express, the expan system with plastic chain etc. For vinyl the system I've described would be better as it's a full metal construction, including the chain.

if you have a link then that would be great. im pretty sure its allowed. id like to see a picture of it so i can get my head around how it hold 5 backgrounds.

They also do ceiling mounting for flash heads and wall booms if you really want to splash out
