:DHello All,
Still finding my way round, and here I am asking my first questions - with less than 10 posts - sorry to be so demanding.
I am looking to buy the wife a backdrop for portrait photographs etc, whilst I do not want the cheapest out there, neither do I want most expensive. Having read through on this sub fora paper seems best for portability, but what would you suggest, what is it likely to cost, and where is the best place to buy - would it be the dreaded ePray.
Any guidance greatfully accepted.
Thanks in advance.
James

Hiya Matey,

What are your thoughts on this stand? I'm looking to buy one very soon.....

Also, once folded down in a bag, how long is it approx?

Thanks

I think it's superb for the cash.

Just ran upstairs with the tape measure for you... In the bag it's 90cm long and really not that thick circumference wise either. I measured it as having an 18cm circumference but not sure I believe that as that seems really small to me!

Good to hear I just bought a Lencarta one myself.

Was debating Lencarta and Bessel, the Bessel one seemed the cheaper option but with VAT then with the delivery it was more than a Lencarta one, so went with the Lencarta

Yep, I've got nothing but praise for the Lencarta stuff. I have the Safari Ringflash, the additional Safari studio head, the reflector arm (which is brilliant!), the 6x3m white bg and the background stands and can't fault any of it. Will happily buy the Elitepro mains flash from them when I come to need it!

Bessel stuff is great for the price, got 3 vinyls from them, spot on

Anybody have any experience of their softboxes?

They seem awfully cheap in price, dont know about quality.
