Hello all,

Please forgive the basic nature of this question. I'm after your thoughts on what type of backdrop you would use for a series of baby shoots we have coming up.

The shoots are at various locations, so we will be transporting a portable studio. We already have our backdrop poles and a white muslin backdrop.

Would you recommend another backdrop? Maybe patterned, themed, coloured, or even green screen so we can change the background (we have the tools for chroma keying on tap).

Any tips or advice would be very welcome and appreciated. Also, any tips on lighting would be great. I won't be taking the shots (I'm sure you can all guess that I'm not a seasoned tog!), but I will need to spec the equipment, as we will be requiring in photographers who may or may not have suitable lighting and backdrops.

We already have two cheap lights (both strobe and continuous), with umbrellas and lightboxes, but open to suggestions on wether or not we need to spend further.

Black backdrop or mottled dark one. Easier to light and IMO better more consistent results.

I like the wallpaper idea, thanks for posting.

HappySnapper1977, hadn't thought about black. I'll look for some examples.

Any other tips (including lighting) greatly appreciated!
