Hi All,

I have been playing around with setting up keywords in lightroom and after some advice and help from the wonderful people here have started to make some headway and gain a better understanding, progress is good.

Now one question I have and this may seem really simple and obvious but the way my mind work nothing is lol. but what is the difference between a seascape and a landscape, and then what about a cityscape? is there such a thing..

Here are some pics I took last holiday.. not sure how they hold up but from a point of keywording how would the community classify them.. seascape/landscape if you care to give reasonings it will help.. oh ok then you can say just plain old rubbish as well :-)

Now I know its all subjective, but I just want to get a feel and some opinions and dont feel afraid to say actually its neither, id classify this as .....

thanks to all who take the time to look and advise :-)

Anyone care to express there thoughts on if the above pics would be classified as a seascape/landscape/something else?

FWIW I use waterscapes as a main tag and then split that into inland and coast categories.

Strictly speaking a landscape is a image that contains a body of land and a seascape is just sea as is a waterscape (just water).

So all of these are landscapes in that sense but they would also have the keywords coast and beach applied to them as well.
