Hi, We have been asked by friends to do some images of their baby boy (7 months old) and I’ve seen some amazing shots on here, but I have a question, a lot of the shots I see have the baby asleep but posed. It’s been a few years since mine were that age, so can’t remember, but how would be best to approach the shoot in general? If the baby is asleep, would it be ok to move them or is the risk of waking a grumpy baby too big?
Any advice would be gratefully received

tbh i dont think youd be able to move a baby of that age without waking them up i speak from experience my lad wakes up if you walk past him half the time lol

the shots you talk of are newborn shots as they sleep all the time. at seven months old there more aware of there surroundings and more importantly they smile which is what parents like to see so id go for capturing them in natural element with there toys or in a basket ect that sort of stuff ive seen nice pictures where you have a 10 by 8 and three little 2 inch square photos of like the feet hands and ear or belly button.

or see if they have a hooded towel and lay baby on tummy and put that on babies head and get them to smile
