I was looking to buy a baby poser as I am just starting out in the industry and was wondering if anyone actually uses one of these. How good are they? Can you get a similar effect by placing pillows and covering them with material??

Any info or advise would be great

cheers

I think that its a sort of support that holds the baby upright. I'm thinking a bit like a shaped potty?

I've not got one but I know what you mean - Argos sells something similar and cheaper than 'photo' retailers I believe

They are good for babies that can hold their heads up but not sit up - so a small window of opportunity for use

I use a child's bean bag instead, shaped like a chair, that we found in a local market for £10 - works a treat but needed a few balls letting out so it could be shaped better. I just cover it with a nice soft blanket to change its colour

I use a "Boppy" and I cover it with a soft blanket.
It's basically a U shape nursing pillow.
Saves a bit of money, I picked it up off ebay.

:plusone: tend to use a sheepskin rug to cover the beanbag.

Thank you for that guys & gals - I do have been bags and one of those horseshoe shaped pillows already - I was really just wondering if there was anything you could do with the baby poser that you couldn't do with a bean bag etc...
