Hi all,

I was lucky enough to get a go at taking a few photos of a friends baby yesterday and I think I have managed to get one that looks ok with a little help from Photoshop.

Question is I have never sent off for anything larger than 10x8 and wondered who would you suggest in the UK to use and what would be a good size to have the baby printed and what would you suggest paper or canvas.

I will drop the photo in and feel free to tell me is it is not good enough for print. Just thought it would be nice to gift them a copy.

Also do you send them to a printer as a jpg,Tiff ,or raw file to have something like this printed.

Usually a jpg resized to whatever size image/canvas you require and yes, your picture is a lot better than many I've seen and ideal for a happy mum.

Thank you Nick and Brian. What I need to know is what is the best type of paper to ask for and would photobox be a good place to try I see a few on hear are very happy with it.

Would canvas be better?

Do I leave a border on or take it off if it has o be framed. Simple questions I am sure but honestly it has been so long since I had any of my snaps enlarged I don't really know what te best option is.

Les that looks great and thank you. I will e mail them this morning and ask about best paper for a baby print and see how I get on they should also be able to fill me in on an average size for a large baby print.
