B&W printing offered/request

I'm desperate to do some more printing but my B&W negs are only good for burning not printing. I've got nothing worth printing from and no inspiration or ideas for taking photos.

So, has anyone got a B&W neg they want a silver print making from? This might sounds a little blunt but here's where I stand and what I want, I'll be upfront about it to save anyone any grief.

• It has to be a reasonably good negative, not completely under or over exposed.
• I've got to like the photo/find it interesting. Fact is if I don't feel your photo I'm not going to be arsed slaving over a print for four hours trying to achieve my idea of perfection.
• I'm a busy boy, I work full time and have the usual family/home stuff to deal with. If I say I'm going to make you a print I will, but it may not be quick.
• I've got 10x8 gloss and 16x12 pearl paper, we can discuss your preference and if I love you and your photo that much I may buy some paper to suit it. If not we make use of what's on the shelf.
• I'll not be doing toning or fancy processes yet but maybe one day.
• I promise to take care of your negative and return it with the print.
• I'm not going to copy your negative, rip you off, steal your copyright. That crap doesn't interest me, I don't have the time for it, all I want is some inspiration to lock myself away in my garage with some music and some chemicals and have a good time.
• I'm smack bang in the middle of the country, if you want to have a go at making your own print your more than welcome to come and make a print with me.

May I make a proposition, please.

Almost certainly my negatives will be completely devoid of any photographic merit. They will be exposed OK though.

However, irrespective of that, printing them will cost you money; even without valueing your time ( which needs to be valued by the way)

So if you are happy to print my negatives; I'll be happy to pay you ( cash, films, whatever else).

Over the summer I plan to photograph a whole lot of B/W. I can send them to you regularly.

Does that interest you?

Well I'm glad I've not come across as a complete loon .

I'm sure you've got some negative I'll get a kick out of printing Ujjwal so we can get started. All I really want is maybe one or two negatives at a time. I'm not interested in seeing how many I can get out in a session like a factory, I'm after one or two images that are worth spending some real time over to get the best out of.

I'm no master printer by any means, I took some prints for review the other week and got hammered but I've got nothing worth printing to practice on so don't worry about the time and cost at this stage it's a mutually beneficial type thing.

Have a look through your negs and see if you've got one or two negs that you'd like to see printed above all the others and if poss, scan them in and either stick them in here or PM me and we'll discuss things further.

I'm in Ashby which is pretty much on the Leics, Staffs, Derbys borders.

Kev far from being a loony;you are the inspiration.

i doubt if I have got any sensible neg..there is possibly one in 6X6 which is possibly just about acceptable.

I'll let you know if I can find it; and then send me your addy and I'll post it to you.

MF would be best, I've got holders for 35mm negatives but I'm not sure I've got a 50mm lens in a useable condition.
