Hi
I've just become aware of B-grips as an alternative to a camera neck strap. As I've been having problems with the weight of the camera round my neck, I would be interested to hear from anyone who has one of these, and what they think of them, how easy they are to use etc. Being the best part of £50 I'd like to know if they are worth the money.

Have you had a look at sling straps? All the weight is on your shoulder rather thank your neck. Very comfortable. Top brands are Black Rapid and Sun Sniper (there are also cheaper versions of the Black Rapid called the Q strap).

Worth a look

I've got the Q-Strap with the padded shoulder and it is comfortable though as with all such straps the camera can bounce about a bit unless its steadied with the hand. I recently acquired a B-Grip but haven't used it in anger yet - it seems very stable and doesn't swing about at all, though if used with a substantial camera it does make you keep the belt quite tight!

I gave up on sling type straps and moved to a spider pro which isn't that different an idea. Works fantastically well, and so much more comfortable

Many thanks for the suggestion. I have taken a look at them but I'm afraid they are a bit too pricey for me.

7dayshop did a copy b grip a while back, v cheap but cannot see it currently, I have one and it is perfectly ok, if they have stopped selling them I may sell mine obv have to be via classifieds on here and will need to check what I paid iirc it was around 20 quid.

I assume with a name like JeanieW, you're female. Apologies if not. I use a Black Rapid RS-7 whilst Ms arad85 uses a Black Rapid RS-W1 which makes it's way around her shirt potatoes very nicely. Definitely the best method of carrying a camera we've found for the female figure.
