Avoided a marketplace scam

Currently selling a pair of oak coffee tables on marketplace , had a enquiry from a woman , wanted to pay by PayPal , nope I said not for £20 .. anyway she just turned up “ oh I couldn’t get the money out will bank transfer be alright ,” nope go into town get the cash out and come back 5 minutes max to town and back . Can I look at them first she says ,comes in looks and says I’ll leave it .
There solid oak tables with smoked glass inserts for a tenner each and in vgc .. rather take them to the tip tan be robbed

Hopefully she was genuine though a bit misguided in her way of doing things........and that her aim all along was not to see inside your house (for other reasons) ~ yes, I know I can be cynically suspicious at times!

had one guy haggle over an old amp i was selling for 20 quid i just went to show him out and he just smiled and said hey if you dont ask

I have met some great people selling on gumtree and market place. I've sold hundreds of items and never had one problem from anyone that has actually turned up. It's getting people to turn up that's the problem.

I have a list of all those that have not turned up when I have posted items on sites such as Freecycle. An Ignore facility would be a great help!
