There always seems to be so many reasons why the aurora is not visible.

Apparently there was an aurora visible from the Brecon Beacons on Monday night.

I looked out about 1:30 and it's way to bright like a sunset to the north anyway.
If you can't see stars you aren't likely to see much aurora.

Me too,far too much light in the sky this time of year,it never really gets dark up here.

Ahhh but dont be so hasty. I've seen great aurora shots during a full moon. Admittedly further north than Wales but they are hard (sometimes impossible if you havent seen them before) to see with the naked eye. Get yer cameras out and shoot a 25 second exposure and see if you can detect a hint of green or red - you may be surprised!
