It just occured to me that once I have completed my 52 this year... what will I do with it?

Do any of you have plans?

It seems daft doing it if we dont show it off to the wider world!

My first thought is to get a photo book made a bit like the one my wife got me for my christmas last year with many of my fav travel images in it. I'm sure she got it from boots. Then I think i'll get a 6x4 type print of each one and try to get a frame big enough that they could all fit into in a sort of collage.

mark,

i was thinking photobook.. i ordered 2 for my last company for their christmas party, and they looked very impressive. The company was something like CEWE, but most places seem to do them, though CEWE supply software for you to create and upload. I simply munged the photos into one image and put that image onto a page, made it a lot simpler to manage.

though i wonder how much a 52 sided book would cost now...though they do offers all the time

there are a few.i'd seriously like to have as a canvas though... my subway shot defo..

in fact..got an email through regarding snapmad.com about canvases :D

I've been asked to do mine as an exhibition at the Tate Modern - I''ll see if I can get you some free tickets...

Oh, got to go now... the Emperor Napoleon has just arrived for tea.

:lol::lol::lol:

I'm thinking of a photo book too, it will be a great way to look back on the progress made (well I hope so).

Also thinking of exhibiting some of the photos at our local art gallery. They encourage up-and-coming artists from across the country to show-case their work. So far I've made some informal enquiries, but will see how I feel about it towards the end of the year. It would be an opportunity to display my work and hopefully generate interest in the type of art I create, and if I'm fortunate enough to sell a print or two that would help towards the cost of purchasing more camera equipment :D

Well done Mark for starting this thread, it will be interesting to hear what other ideas people have for the results of their 52.

Cheers

Dawn :)

An interesting thought that, I would probably do a photobook, I might even do a collage, I am also now thinking of making them into a slide show with some appropriate music. Some images may well be printed, especially the ones of my daughter.

Hiya Michael,

Those sound like fantastic ideas. Which make me think of an idea for a screen saver. I already have one of my 365 photos as my desktop wall paper at work.

You should definitely have the photos of your daughter printed

Cheers

Dawn :)

I like people's idea of a photobook. This has been a huge adventure for me and I'd like to keep a permanent record.

Dawn, it would be great if you could get an exhibition - remember to invite me to the opening (esp if there's free wine and nibbles :D). Seriously, that's a great idea - you are braver then me to consider it.

I'm also planning on having a photobook made. Other than that though, I'm just planning to learn from my mistakes this year and improve my techniques.

Just been thinking about this thread. I have recently joined 500px and I have decided to upload my 52 week project photos onto there to and I have created a portfolio of the images too, I know I have them on here and in flickr, but I quite like the idea of the portfolio, being an achievement to look back on at the end of the year. I am still going to do a slide show with music as well. I keep hearing different pieces and think, "that would go well with my 52 project" I keep adding the pics in each week to movie maker, just so I don't have a big job at the end of the year!

Ummm, what to do

In the absence of any other idea or winning the loto and finding wall space for a canvas of each, a photo book will have to be a must. It would be nice to have them all done for our January meet, that way we could pass them around and look back through the year together over a drink - good times.

No plans really....

This is my second 52, having done it in 2009 first.

My 52 from the first attempt is still on my flickr in a set.

Not sure I will do a third - a challenge of some sort certainly gets you out the house taking photos though - watch this space!!!!

Photobox & snapfish also do photo books.
I've used both in the past and they have come out great....
