Hi All,

Just picked up said monitor and am very pleased with the results. Out of the box the calibration looks pretty good, have also been trying some settings from reviews.

Does anyone have any successful settings they have used with this monitor?

Fully aware I should buy a colourimeter, however funds currently tight.

Any help greatly appreciated:thumbs:

Cheers all.

Just because others with the same monitor have published settings, don't assume they'll be the same as yours. No two monitor are the same. There's no way you'll be able to get accurate colour without calibration, on any monitor.

Colour is subjective though, and so long as it's close, you'll be OK. More importantly is gamma and luminance levels.

Go to http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/ for a range of tests you can do visually which may do until you can afford a calibrator.

I have the 23" (pa238q) & it was factory colour calibrated when I got it. I bought the Spyder calibrator months later & it was 99% correct, so if yours was factory set, I wouldn't worry yet.

On mine there are a few display options......standard, scenery, theater etc but I leave mine set on sRGB. It seems a little dull at first, but you'll soon get used to it. (presuming it's for photo PP'ing?)

Thanks guys. Yep for PP'ing. Will give the tests a shot until I can afford a calibrator. Cheers.:)
