However, some of the guys there are really knowledgeable, and will be more than happy to explain how everything worked. Also they're totally happy with photographs - in fact, one of the guys was in the winding house with me and was even moving things so I could get better pictures!!

BTW, if I remember rightly, it's only open Thursdays and Sundays.

You're wrong, sir. It's open Tuesdays as well. I've just arrived back :thumbs:

Yes, they're a great bunch of fellas (and one woman). Very helpful

Just got to pick up my significant other from work, have me tea, and then I'll pop a pic or two from today's adventure in my gallery. Bet you can't wait.......:lol:

I had a very nice time and took a lot of photos. I made several n00b mistakes, including not removing my lens hood when taking photos indoors using flash. Doh! :cuckoo:

Anyway, I've bunged my favourite shot into my gallery. It's of a stretch of disused railway
