Associations and Press Passes

Those of you working professionally are you a member of any Associations ? and do you hold a press pass ?

While freelancing at a track cycling event recently it came to my attention that it mite be worth joining one. As 90% of the time I'm shooting sports, (mainly Athletics, Cycling and Cage fighting) I'm assuming joining the SJA makes the most sense, but before finding people who are current members that would recommend me I thought id ask peoples opinions on here
