So I have been approached by a scottish charity who help with housing (via flickr) and they have requested to use an image I took on my honeymoon of a robin in the snow for a calendar (presumably Decembers' slot).
I have asked the usual questions and they have suggested that each home they deal with will be given a free calendar (again presumably to promote the charity in all shapes and forms) and they have suggested in the region of 750 copies.
I have requested how large the image will be published at and they have advised it will be a half A4 page.
Calculating online it suggests a £66.15 charge should be made to them and I would just like to know if this is about right as I have always turned image requests down in the past as they always want things for free but this charity is willing to allow me to quote them so I thought I would give the game a go
Also, if this is about right, I will be cheeky and ask for a few copies myself and as mandatory a credit but should I make sure this is only for a month slot and not the front cover etc? (it's not that good of an image but I don't want them to take advantage)
thanks in advance for this common question.
