Artifacts appearing on D80 Images

Hi there,

I've recently come across a problem where my images appear to have dot-like artifacts appearing on them, they appear mostly on long-exposures and does not matter what lens is attached at the time. Below is a crop of an image to give an example. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me as I have searched everywhere for similar issues and cannot find anything similar to what I am experiencing.

dust on your sensor- needs a clean.

Hi, I had a look at the sensor and it looks mint...do you know what that would cost mate roughtly?

Provided you have a reasonably steady hand you should be fine doing your own, in which case consider buying some swabs and fluid.
A camera shop will do it but now you have noticed dust spots you will find they re-appear pretty much weekly (although can usually be ignored for months unless you're very fussy!)

You wont see sensor dust by looking with your eye, you need a loupe.
A shop will charge £45-70 depending on the shop.

Buy yourself some pecpads or visible dust swabs and ecipse fluid and do it yourself.

Thanks guys, I will give the clean a go...wish me luck and I dont sneeze while swabbing lol.

I had a mad moment last night and ordered a D7000 with Grip so the lovely D80 will be up for sale soon.

Give it a go with a rocket blower first, only about £10. Always works 100% for me and you don't have to touch the sensor.
