I'm not really frustrated. I love my Canon cameras. But blimey, getting the metering to work on my TLb was taxing. It's supposed to meter wide open, and indeed it does. But it relies on the shutter speed to get the needle in the zone. I finally realised that you have to lock the aperture into manual using a little lever on the back of the lens. So it's actually metering stopped down I guess, which is contrary to what the manual seems to suggest. The effect of which is that it responds as you might expect with the aperture having an influence. It's not really a problem, now that I know. I suppose it doesn't do any harm to have a little vent though.
