Okay, this is one of those tales of woe.

Whilst shooting on a cross channel ferry, my sigma 24 to 70 fell about 1ft onto the deck. I did the old "forgot to zip up my camera bag" trick. I am, it is fair to say, a cretin.

The bottom cap had a little damage, and the lens appeared okay. However, I have since found it is not.

When zoomed out beyond 50mm, the aperture will not close. At focal ranges from 24 to 50mm, it works fine. I am thinking that a cable may be damaged and the signals are not getting through.

Can anyone recommend somewhere in the UK for lens repairs? I am near Manchester, but I don't mind paying to courier it.

If anyone has had a similar problem repaired, I would be interested to hear what you paid.

I did use them to replace the front element of my 10-20mm after it fell over on a beach in Kent (I know this makes me sound like an oaf, but I'm not, honest [emoji56] )

I like to support small independent businesses as well though, so I thought I would ask.

If I can't find anywhere, it will be back to sigma.

I had my 24-105 repaired by Miles Whitehead . The problems was a damaged ribbon cable. He was quick and not very expensive. I have since used him on two other occasions and have been very happy with his service.
